Lasair Choille Bed & Breakfast accommodation is situated one mile from
Schull town
in West Cork, at the foot of Mount Gabriel mountain in an area of outstanding beauty.
The house is newly built and tastefully decorated to a high standard with all bedrooms en-suite. The aim is to provide a friendly, comfortable atmosphere where guests can feel relaxed and welcome.
Schull Harbour is a safe and sheltered harbour and a gateway to many beautiful islands in Roaring water Bay. There are daily trips to Sherkin and Cape Clear throughout the summer months. Boat hire can be arranged for diving trips or sea angling on request.
Schull harbour has a state of the art sailing centre which allows visiting yachtsmen to take part in various sailing events throughout the season. It is a popular tourist town boasting a wide range of other activities including a challenging 9 hole Golf Course overlooking the harbour at Coosheen or horse riding through spectacular scenery at Ballycumisk Riding School.
Other watersports include canoeing and kayaking. Courses are run throughout the season. Walking is a popular past time both with locals and visitors. There are several planned short or long routes to take (2-10 miles). Ordinance Survey Maps are available for the serious hill and mountain walkers. There are also
many pubs both traditional and modern. Live music sessions are almost nightly.
